In addition to directing and writing Notes from Underground, Gary Walkow has directed films such as Beat (2000) and The Trouble with Dick (1987). He has also directed the television series Sledge Hammer (1988).

Henry Czerny was born in Ontario, Canada, and graduated from Canada's National Theater School, having studied classical theater and the works of Shakespeare. His critical screen role came in 1993 with the CBS mini-series The Boys of St. Vincent, for which he won a Gemini Award. His Hollywood debut came in 1994 with his role in Clear and Present Danger, with Harrison Ford. He has acted in a number of other films, such The Ice Storm (1997), Mission Impossible (1996), Possessed (2000), and Almost America (2001).

Actress Sheryl Lee first appeared on screen in David Lynch's television drama Twin Peaks (1990-92). She would later act in films such as I Love You to Death (1990), Wild at Heart (1990), Back Beat (1994), and Mother Night (1996), the film adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's novel. She is also a renowned stage actress, more recently acting opposite Al Pacino in a production of Salome.

Jon Favreau, hailing originally from Queens, New York, wrote, directed, and starred in Swingers (1996), an enormously popular and groundbreaking hit for independent film, for which he and co-star Vince Vaughan received outstanding critical acclaim. He has acted in Very Bad Things (1998), The Replacements (2000), Made (2001), and Something's Gotta Give (2003). He produced and hosted the Independent Film Channel's series Dinner for Five in 2001.

Seth Green got his first starring role in Hollywood in Woody Allen's Radio Days (1987). More recently, he has been cast in a leading role in the hit television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and has acted in such films as Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), Enemy of the State (1998), Can't Hardly Wait (1998), America's Sweethearts (2001), Rat Race (2001), Party Monster (2003), and The Italian Job (2003).
